About Brenda Novoa

Registered Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor & Shiatsu Therapist, Coquitlam BC

As an alternative therapist, Brenda began her studies with a strong belief that what heals the body, heals the mind. Shiatsu Therapy promotes body-mind integration, by releasing pain and tension and creating deep relaxation.

Her treatments integrate techniques not only from Shiatsu, but also from Reflexology and CranioSacral Therapy to optimize client’s results. As a Registered Shiatsu Therapist, Brenda completed a 2yr intensive 1100 hour Shiatsu Diploma Program at Langara College between 1999-2001.

In addition to her private practice of 18 years, Brenda has also worked at various spas, including the world renown Healing Springs Spa in Harrison Hot Springs. She also teaches Shiatsu Therapy in the Spa Practitioner Program of a local college, and is a past board member of The Shiatsu Therapy Association of BC.

“I feel so lucky to be able to work in a field that I am so passionate about.”

Working in the fitness industry for several years, Brenda has enjoyed working with people of all ages and abilities, from the beginner to advanced level of fitness.

She is experienced at working with individuals with medical conditions, including cancer, diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure. She also works with older adults, including those with osteoporosis, heart disease, and other age related illnesses.

Each of her workouts will have variety and challenge, yet be fun and and adapted to the individual’s level of fitness.

As a BCRPA registered Personal Trainer, Group and Yoga Instructor she strives to make fitness accessible to all of her participants. In addition to her private practice, she has worked for the City of Coquitlam since 2008 teaching Group Fitness, Yoga and Personal Training.

“I believe everyone has the right to be fit!”
